I met my friend Danielle for brunch this week and she had one of these crayon holders for her little one Heath. I thought they were so cute and perfect to take to restaurants! I made one for my nephews and Kate.

A few more older things

Here are a few things I did a few years ago. I painted Kate's dresser drawers to match her bedding and I also painted these frames for a craft show. One of them I did for my girlfriends daughter. Recently I decided Kate needed a stool in the kitchen to help me cook and wash her hands. I didn't want a kiddie stool so I decided to paint one that matched my drapes and kitchen chair pads. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

First entry
I decided to start this blog because ever since I became a stay at home mom 3 years ago I've been painting canvas's, bedroom walls, furniture, wood letters etc... for friends and family. Since I'm no longer working for an interior design firm I miss being able to decorate and use my creative gene. I've really enjoyed working on past projects and thought maybe I could make a small business out of it. I plan on sending out weekly blogs with projects that I've done hoping that someone will hire me to do a project for them!
The first project I ever took on was painting my nephews playroom and bedroom walls. I was really nervous about it but am happy my sister in law Brandi had enough faith in me to do this project. Below are pictures of the playroom and bedroom. Note the playroom wall at the time was missing a name. My sister in law was pregnant with her second and hadn't decided on a name yet. I went in later and painted his name on the wall!
